World Dignity is a nonprofit organization advocating for human dignity as the fundamental threshold for global development. We publish the World Dignity Report, host global advocacy events, and support international dialogue around dignity as the new standard for measuring progress.
The fight against poverty is unambitious, uninspiring and obsolete in our age. Our goal is to shift the global narrative from the Poverty Line to the Dignity Line — a new standard that benchmarks dignity for all, not poverty eradication. We work to provide stakeholders with actionable and measurable standards to drive the new narrative.
Our annual report assesses countries on 45 indicators of dignity across ten core pillars, using the Dignity Metre to score and compare nations. It informs governments, inspires advocacy, and highlights dignity gaps that need to be filled to push all countries above the Dignity Line.
We welcome feedback from stakeholders across regions and sectors to help refine and improve the Dignity Pillars and the Dignity Metre. Our framework is dynamic and intentionally inclusive, evolving to reflect diverse global and regional realities. By incorporating lived experiences and expert input, we ensure that our pillars and indicators remain relevant, equitable, and responsive to the dignity challenges faced by different communities.
